Stalking abilities improved.

I finally got the chance to show you my beloved Rolando Limjoco. I've fallen from the moment I first saw him face to face. Just inches away which was like 3 years ago. He's a priest to be, btw. And he's cute. My friends and family would agree with me. At first, I thought of him as Wesley Gonzales look alike. Secondly, he is Rolando Limjoco. Lastly, he's a seminarian who takes  his vocation seriously. Then I lose. That polished my being so hopeless romantic dork.

What a super late post! But my message has always been freshed from my heart. Seriously. I should have posted this a day or two before September 17 of this year. But it is never too late for a love that's true, right? Naks! Hahaha. So, I was supposed to send Pops a more than 2-minute video birthday greeting but circumstances won't allow me. Believe in my words, I did everything just to be part of the video production Dan_drops were making. It bothered me for a week, and got envied when I watched the whole video during our swimming parteyyyy. "I should have been part of that movie if it wasn't because.... (and uncountable reasons, or should I say excuses)"! So here's my greeting.

Happy happy birthday Papa Dan! Sorry I couldn't make it again. Twice now. I hope you're having fun on your special day, though I'm not around. HAHAHA. Kidding. 


For someone like you who seems to have achieved everything a man wanted to have -- a excellent career, reliable friends, and us, Dan_drops! -- dude, there's nothing more to ask! You've done so much good things in life, and most of it are only few exceptional men could ever do: touching people's live in a very fun way. People love you. Sometimes, even those whom you haven't met yet love you much than those who are around you. Well, I know a few. So that's a perfect gift. Aside from that, I wish you good health and long life. Wow. What a cliche'. I don't think I should've listed that. Just the same, take the best care of yourself. You're too workaholic men! Plus, your radio timeslot will slowly get you sicked.  Stay strong. No detractors will I allow to touch you. Don't be bothered by your haters for they do not have even the slightest idea of  what they are missing. Hey, you're one of the coolest men I know. And those copycats, they are symptoms of popularity. So, why we care?


Thank you Mr Villanueva for everything you've done. For even in a glimpse, making me feel I have a dream come true. Thank you for being the core reason of Dan_drops. You guys are simply awesome! Few of the people I'm willing to jump over a bullet for. Thank you for the family. Pops, you may not know how much we appreciate the attention you are giving us. Making us one of your friends. It's something I will so much be proud of. Such a priceless feeling. For us, you are more than Dingdong, Dennis, or my ultimate crush John Lloyd Cruz. See how great you are!? People initially love them because of their looks. It is just later the talent and the personality they will appreciate. But here's the thing with you Papa Dan, people love you first because of you. The person behind Wanted Sweetheart --the wit, the heart they find in you. Love beyond of the looks defines true admiration. It's like loving a person, not a maniquin. You're an Idol! 


Papa Dan, please don't put malice if I say I love you, because I really do. We do. We love you definitely not because of the looks but the friend we always find in you. Because of that, expect that we'll always be true to you. We'll always be here for you in your ups and downs. We'll never leave you unless you tell us to. Not because we're tired or so, but because we respect you a lot. We'll never get tired of supporting you.

Three tools for critical thinking.

"1. Everything has a BASIS.
2. Everything CHANGES.
3. Everything is INTERRELATED."


Insights:

I personally think that the 3 tools for critical thinking (i.e. everything has a basis, everything changes, everything is interrelated) are all equally relevant and useful in solving problems. A tool would be good but I prefer them using them as one and work as team. That would make the process easier and result in a better product. If one changes, it is certain that there is a reason for that change. There must be a basis. With it, one will know how, when, and for whom it will changes. Then there’s your interrelationship – the reason for that change. I believe that it is inevitable to use all of them one at a time. You may be aware of it or not, but we’re using all of the tools to solve whatever problems we are currently facing.

Dear Mom, 

There is a gap between us. No matter how hard we try to ignore it, the slit will still remain. So I want to spew out what I think about it. I know it will do no sense at all for everyone can see it other than the visitor of my blogsite. It’s funny to know that this will not achieve its purpose—closure to our problem—now; however, I still believe in the power of time. 

The thought of ” I’m more of Dad than you” makes a wide space between us, or worse is between you and my siblings against Dad and I. Literally, a family feud. I have sensed it for months now, since I joined Dad in his family affair that produced a bit of argument between us. My instincts were confirmed just a long just a week ago when you used Patrick’s teacher to throw your opinion about me being “always” on the side of your husband. In the scenario, it seemed that I was taking every word you said as a shaggy dog story. You’re wrong Mom. What made me laughed in silence were your untold reactions. Mom, with all due respect, it was really hilarious. 

The day which gave you more reason to be jealous of Dad and I’s closeness was the day I felt like I have a father, not a financial provider. I have waited for this since day one. My childhood is more of you than Dad which made me love you more and him less. I do not really want to blame you, but I thought it started perhaps you being my close tie and whenever you and Dad argue it is only your side I hear. Brainwashing if I may say. Being innocent, I thought that the victim was always you; you were always right. Since my bonding time with Dad happened, I realized that all this time, I was being unfair to Dad. From then on, I decided to be a daughter to both you and him. I gave both ourselves a chance to act out our role efficiently. Adjustments should be expected and I know it will cause much argument between you and me. I want to be fair between you since none of you is a step parent to me. I wouldn’t want to choose. I believed you have noticed that each time you and Dad argue. I always defend Dad’s side because it is you whom I’m talking to. You are more empathic and understanding than him. And I know you have my brothers on your side. I don’t want Dad to feel alone. I think that defines true love. From now on, I will be a daughter to both you. I love you Mom, but I have to make up with Dad. And I hope you understand.

Strangely Friends

My name is Danielle and his is Dan Christian Villanueva; he is known as Papa Dan. I do not mind posting his real name in here because I ain't a popular blogger. I do not even know if anyone reads or care to read my blog. Dan and I are sort of friends, and definitely not a couple. We're friends -- that's the most I can tell you, though I believe we never treated each other like that because, to be honest, we're just acquainted. For me I even feel like he is just obliged to talk to me because I'm a member of his fan group, that is, Dan_drops.  I do not even know how it happened .He's a celebrity and I'm a fan. "At least you get in touch with him once in a while" a friend would say. Oh how I wish I can turn back the time when we were both “no one” and “others” to one another. I would like to start over again and change a lot of things. Yes, we've known each other for more than a year now, go out of town twice, been in a vidoeoke party which he organized once, I've been visiting him and the other djs for a million times already. And yet, I feel like we are strangers to one another. 

I find it hard to break the ice between us. Panic is what I get every time this celebrity nears me. It seems like my mind tells me a lot of things such what to do, to relax a bit because it's OA, or think of other things because he is just a man, man named papa dan. The last increases the panic, until the whole system shuts down. Thus, I become the quiet, an agreer, a careful, a pretentious usual fan. But that isn't me. I'm the total opposite whom you might be surprised to know. I have never allowed you to know the real me. Whenever you speak a word directly address to me, my mind gets blank, my tongue twists, my words are crumpled, my heart beats rapidly, my sympathetic system is activated then I'm dead.

There were times that I thought of initiating a conversation. True, starting a conversation to someone you look up to is the half of the battle. And so I back out. Damn I do not know what to do. The question isn't always when, but how. (obviously not why? HAHAHA.) How to say things I've been practicing inside my room? How to act whenever he's in front? How to be me? It sucks. I actually know what to do, that is to remove semantic noise: FEAR. Fear that he might not like the sudden change, the eventually new me. Danielle who is loud, careless, and very random. Ohhh. Stupid me!

I want to know you more Papa Dan, but I want you to know me better.

What should I have said. Have always said.

I really find it hard to introduce myself every first day of classes. I don't even know its worth. I mean, admit it, no one remembers every detail that you said, or at least the most interesting part of your speech. For you to be remembered, either you did something really unusual or you act stupid or crazy while introducing yourself. Neither of them will I  do. First, I do not have any unusual talent. Yes the plain me. I dance well enough, but that is just it, good. Others are better and I'll just get intimidated if they'd show off. I sing, and I bet you'll get irritated with my voice and the way I sing. You won't appreciate it because we weren't close, my classmates and my professor. The major problem would be my being uncomfortable with my environment. I do not know the personalities surrounding me. So for me, the tell-something-about-yourself ritual during first day of classes isn't effective., and yet inevitable. So must be prepared.

Maybe by preparing  speech would help me face these troubles of mine.

Hobbies: I'm a proud potato couch especially during summer. I love having a DVD marathon. I'm not a movie house goer and so I just watch movies at home. I'm also fond of US TV Series such ass Glee, Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, House, Cougar Town, The Mentalist, Private Practice and OC. Readong is also a hobby but I'm not a wide reader. I often read magazines, less of non-fictional books, and currently trying to read newspaper. They say I'm boyish, but just to clear the doubts about my gender, I'm not a lesbian! I just really find it fun to watch live basketball games and concerts by local or foreign bands. It's fun try mo! :)

Likes: I certainly love color purple ever since I was in grade school. I also love stars. I love to travel but I've never been in other countries yet. Subic and Naga City is mine! I'm not choosy with people who I may get along with as long as they are honest and natural. But as always, first impression matters. I love chocolates!


Hates: I hate social climbers, trying hard, OA, promiscuous, and a bitch. Though I know I sometimes am. I hate yellow, but my umbrella is yellow and that is because my favorite character in my favorite series married a woman, who is still unknown, who owns a yellow umbrella. I hate flying cockroaches. I hate it whenever my mom becomes a drama queen and my dad a videoke king. I hate it whenever someone commands me to hurry up especially when I'm taking a bath. I hate reckless, moral-less, drivers who don't use signal. And abusive taxi drivers  


Something Weird / Interesting: Amongst the parts of a house, bathroom is my favorite. It's fine with if everything is in chaos as long as my bathroom is clean. It should always be clean.
